I know, I know, I promised a post about something completely different :o). But the light in my garden is so beautiful that I just had to do some photos.
That's it and please, don't worry, Noah is completely fine. He just enjoys a nap at a shady place. I'm going to join him as soon as possible :o).
Have a great start into a new week.

Nope, that's not the new title of my next novel, nor ...
... have we been on a film set.
Although sometimes it felt like.
We were at the Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford. To be honest, you don't have to be an aviation lunatic to enjoy that show.
It was so much fun to see the people dressed up and do their jobs like in earlier days. It felt like we have been in a time machine.
In the morning we had time to have a closer look to all the aircrafts outside...
... and inside in the hall.
While my hubby was completely taken with the technical side, I liked more the decoration (yeah, I had to fulfill the cliche)
Oh dear... our good old Swissair. I confess I felt rather proud to see it at the Airshow. Okay, maybe because it was such a polished and shiny aircraft *smile*. And look that cute black nose... (do I hear the men groan *LoL*).
If you belief that we had rather typical English weather... well it was just in the morning a little bit cloudy, but in the afternoon we got a lovely sunshine.
And then my hubby had the great idea: "Let's make a flight with one of those Legends". Oh dear! Well, could I ever say no to such shiny joyful boys-eyes? (Psst... I had great fun to do so, but don't tell him that, because he takes me out for another garden visit for my suffering*smile*)
So we squeezed ourself into the plane... more than eight passengers weren't possible. The poor pilot had to squeeze himself through that small space between the passengers seats to get in his claustrophobic cockpit. Well, my hubby really would have loved to take over for him... :o)
And then the adventure started... well, part of it, because the second engine wouldn't start. A helping hand stood already there with an extinguisher... just in case... very relaxing, indeed. After a while the second engine decided to do his job and just in that moment...
... my hubby thought it a good idea to tell me about the gap at the door. Why should it be different in English aircrafts than in English houses:o)? A nice English man told me, with a smile in the face, that the gap under their doors is of well use by lighting the fire in their stove, because the air can circulate so well. Oh, indeed *smile*, but why on earth should it be helpful in an aircraft, I wonder?! But there was no time to get out of the plane, it was starting. Of course I wouldn't have done so. I wouldn't have missed the fun, for nothing of the world
To proof it: Tatataaaaa... the Flying Airshow from above.
Manhattan Dolls.
With the feet on the ground again, I got a lovely mint Ice cream (oh, I really love that) while enjoying the Manhattan Dolls. Funny sound, here you can listen to them and enjoy a little bit of the Airshow.
Every aircraft you could see on the ground was later on in the sky.
Finally the real Airshow started in the afternoon: you could smell kerosin, hear the roar and then when the American Fighting Jet flew over all of us, I could feel the ground a little bit shake... or at least I thought so :o) Only the song "Wings of Freedom" did in my opinion not fit to that war jet... but well... give me one more of that delicious soft ice and I forget about it.
Duxford Imperial War Museum in Ruhe anzuschauen.
My husband was in seventh heaven :o) but to be completely honest: I enjoyed it as much. A view days later on, we returned to the Duxford Imperial War Museum to have another good look around. It is very impressive and you can spend there easily half or even a full day. If you are in this region, you really should visit it.
Next time, I take you with me to a village full of crooked houses.
Habt ein schönes Wochenende! / Have a lovely weekend

Huhu, ist noch wer da?
Huhu... somebody here?
Today I'll take you to the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary. We didn't know about it, until we saw a sign on the street, which we decided to follow. Lucky devils we were, because then we could watch those beautiful birds in action. Well, this isn't an owl, as you can see, but rather impressive as well or would you like to be a mouse when this guy is around :o)?
But he's a good boy, as you can see, else this man wouldn't have his hand anymore... well, who knows, we can't see what is hidden in the glove...
A real acrobat in the sky is this little falcon.
And when the sun shines into its wings, it looks like out from a fairy tale.
Between the two shows we had time to have a look at the other birds at the sanctuary.
Smile... I know, some of them look rather fearsome. However, I'm rather stunned, that they always return to the falconer. He said, that's because of the food, they don't see a reason to go somewhere else, when there is plenty of food for which they don't have to work hard. Hmm... well... that makes sence, because when you hold chocolate infront of me... no need to explain further, do I?
What a look (I wish, I could look like that *LoL*)! However, the falconer said, that owls aren't as clever as everybody believes they are. Hmm... not sure that he is right, when I look at this guy.
This one here, the falconer said, is a bit of a lazy one.
It flew only, when it had to and then not really high. Well, I can absolutely understand, to be honest.
That works as well.
Well, and after that one can behave as if one has had a long distance flight.
This bird - sorry I forgot its name but the birds habitat is in South America - is the cleverest of them all.
He knows, that under the pots little creatures find a hiding place ...
... and so he just turns them to get some food. In South America he even crawls into holes, where Pinguin are nesting and fetches their eggs or chickens. Not very nice, but clever.
No, please, don't cry. I continue soon with some different flying legends.
Okay, then I have a sunbath meanwhile.
This little meerkat is so right. He and its fellows are also living at the owl sanctuary. I could watch them forever, they are really cute.
Habt es gut und bis bald / Have a great time, till soon.
